Chaiserstock

I didn’t finish Chaiserstock a couple weeks prior because of bad weather, and since conditions were supposed to be dry, I since I was with the members of my family with more of a propensity for risk, took them here. The cable and chain section near the top (T4+) was the most fun part of the three family hikes for me, and also acted as a go-ahead to try more difficult routes which don’t involve cross into requiring climbing equipment.

Chaiserstock

Round 2.

Looking down from Chaiserstock at route

Looking down from the cable sections near the top of Chaiserstock at Fulen (peak on left) and the route here. This area was shrouded in clouds last time I was here.

Cables up slabs of rock

Arriving to the cable and near-vertical chain section.

Looking down from atop chain section

Looking down from the chain; the sandy slashes near the top of the image are the first scramble, which then leads around the knife and to the right side, where it's a few minutes of cables, and finally the chain.

The flat top of Chaiserstock

The chain wasn't the end of the route, there's a good 10 minutes more of incline to the true summit. You can see Pilatus poking out of the clouds in the back left corner.

Mountain hiding in clouds

I'll need to come back again on a cloudless day to get a good look at the mountains to the south.
