Mountain View Trail

I visited Switzerland in 2018 when I was doing an internship in Germany and loved it; this part of the Bernese Oberland was easily the highlight. I took my family here for a day, and it more than held up to how I remembered it. Unfortunately, we only went for a day. Fortunately, it was absolutely gorgeous.

Lauterbrunnen from Trümmelbachfälle

Lauterbrunnen as seen from partway up the walkway outside Trümmelbachfälle. The falls don't show well with cameras, but are pretty stunning. We did this before heading up the Mountain View Trail, hidden far above and behind the cliffs on the left.

Panorama from Mountain View Trail looking at Wengen, the Jungfrai, and the Mönch

Looking east towards the Jungfrau and Mönch, with the town of Wengen in the bottom left corner. And cows!

Cows in a field with the Jungfrau and Mönch in the background, the Eigergletscher visible below it

More cows! If you zoom in enough, you can see the Eigergletscher sitting below the left-most visible glacier.

More views of the three sisters from along the trail

Is this picture different than the others? Nope, but darn is this area pretty.
