Review: Dungeon Crawler Carl

An entertaining, topical litRPG novel that's a little too heavy on RPG and combat at the beginning for my taste, but balances it out more nicely by the end. I found the AI's dialogue/item descriptions to be a little cringy at first, but considering it's trying to help the crawlers understand (perhaps the dialogue is tailored to each crawler? This is unknown), it makes much more sense, and becomes a little more meta. Not laugh-out-loud funny like Discworld, but silly enough to maybe chuckle internally. Considering where the book ends, I expect another couple decades to reach the end, and I suspect litRPG may not be the genre for me, so I may stop reading here.
